Family-run boutique hotel in the heart of Montevideo. The building has a Belle Epoque vibe. It's a great choice if you'd like to avoid the chains and get a feel for old school local glamour.
There's a gorgeous sun deck on the roof, and the 15 recently refurbished rooms are bright and airy. The bed linen is Egyptian cotton and very satisfying. Around the hotel you'll find some great history and culture, as well as local gay nightlife - the old port is just down the road.
The airport is a 40 minute drive from the hotel, or there's a shuttle that runs to and from the airport if you don't have a car.
