Whenever I was in Seoul, I visited Jin in his bar. He did a great job accommodating all kind of gay men, East meets West, bear meets bear and much more! Great atmosphere and very friendly service! Dear Jin, I miss you and your bar!

Sorry to say that Barcode has closed. There was a sign on the door saying the owner has closed it for a while for 'personal reasons'. However I spoke to the owner of another Gay Bar (who is a friend of the Barcode owner) and he told me that Barcode is up for sale. The owner has been running it for a long time and wants to do something different now. I am so sad because it really was the friendliest Gay bar in Seoul.

The owner of Barcode makes everyone feel like a welcome friend. I was there last night and had a terrific time in this lovely, low-key neighbourhood Gay bar. Apart from the owner and the local customers, there was a guy from Vietnam, a guy from Poland, a guy from Taiwan and me from Australia. A real melting pot. And we chatted with each other - it is that kind of friendly vibe. Barcode is open every night from about 8.30pm - sometimes maybe a bit later - and goes through to the early hours. Friday and Saturday nights are busiest but it is enjoyable to visit any night of the week. Drink prices are reasonable and you can enjoy a cocktail or two if you like :-) I come back whenever I am in Seoul. Foreigners and locals - everyone's welcome.

Barcode is a great venue with excellent service. I visited this Sunday and it was definitely open. It is open every Sunday night from around 8 pm. Hope to see you there sometime soon!

If you are like me and a single Gay traveler visiting Seoul and finding the language barrier a little overwhelming, then this is the bar for you. The owner speaks English very well and is friendly and will actually talk to you. Sit at the bar, order a drink and you may find yourself being introduced to other patrons. There are other tables spread out so you can easily bring friends along too. Highly recommended

Cocktails yang paling best dekat area ini. Boss kedai ini yang sangat mesrah sekali suka share banyak info tentang PLU dekat Seoul. Music yang relax dengan cocktail yang sesuai memang tempat ini relax. *tak payah takut tentang bahasa, boss fasih sangat bahasa inggeris

Finally found this bar on my second trip to Korea!!! JIN is simply an amazing guy!! Friendly, communicating with everyone sitting at the bar. I was there four nghts in a row!!! Many thanks JIN until the next time

I've lived in Seoul for 6 years and I've gone around to several bars in Jongno 3, nothing compares to Barcode. Jin, the owner is one of the only bartenders they can speak english well enough to have a conversation with. He makes u feel welcomed and I was able to meet other friendly men there. Barcode is a laid back bar with reasonably priced drinks.

Bar code is my favorite bar in the world. Owner, Jin is really kind and has warm mind. He is always funny and keeps good builded muscle. Really really sexy.

Barcode is one of my favorite bars in Seoul. Jin, the owner, is funny and sweet and he's welcoming to everyone who comes into the bar. It's a casual, laid back bar where you can come with friends to laugh, drink, and relax.

Great service, well-priced drinks and a friendly crowd. I first visited this bar when I relocated to Seoul in February 2015. The barman/owner is excellent company, mixes a good drink and is very generous with his knowledge of gay life in Seoul. The bar is cool and discrete, and attracts a mixed, fun and friendly crowd. A great place to start or end your evening. I have returned many times since my first visit and have always had a good night.
