    Rupert Caddesi'nin hemen yanında, kendine ait ısıtmalı bir avlusu bulunan The Yard, Soho'nun en şık ve rahat eşcinsel barlarından biridir. Mekan, yıl boyunca hareketli olan geniş açık bahçesi sayesinde özellikle sigara içenler arasında popülerdir.

    En önemli özelliği, Soho'nun merkezinde nadir bulunan açık hava mekanı olan ve arkadaşlarla buluşup içki içmek için harika bir yer olan yemyeşil avlu barıdır. İçeride, avluya bakan balkonlu bir çatı katı barı bulunmaktadır; bu bar daha samimi bir ortam sunar ve hem yaz akşamları hem de kış geceleri için uygundur.

    The Yard, karma bir kitleyi kendine çekiyor ve samimi atmosferi, iyi müziği ve barda çalışan sevimli ekibin sunduğu mükemmel kokteylleriyle biliniyor.

    Not the same anymore...

    I used to be a big fan of The Yard but recently I've noticed it's overrun by straight people. I'm happy that all are welcome but straight people now outnumber the LGBTQI+ community so I wouldn't call it a gay venue per se anymore.

    Expensive drinks and rude staff. They charged twice for a round.

    Visited 24/4/19 - The gin was served in a very small glass. I asked for a bigger glass with more tonic. The staff gave a bigger glass, but then charged my card twice. Will never go back here again.

    Monday evening visit

    Have not been to The Yard for a while, but visited on Monday 15th around 7pm, for a quick drink before dinner at the nearby Balans. Have to say that it was much more enjoyable that previous visits - full, but still manged to get a seat, no queue at the bar. Really nice Vibe. Only thing to watch out for is that the bar serves doubles unless you ask for a single. One pint of beer, a pint of cider and a (double) gin a tonic came to £16.80...

    Developers keep away!

    The best gay bar in London, by more than a yard - at least mile. Let hope those sneaky, moneygrabbing developers keep their hands off The Yard.

    Favourite Bar

    Don't normally write a reviews, but as a regular at The Yard for more years than I care to remember, I just wanted to say that this is certainly one of the best gay bars in London. The "enclosed" outdoor terrace means its a lot more spacious than others like the Village. Stylish, great ambiance and friendly staff attracting a great mix of mostly gay customers.
