Formerly LaKama, Diverzo Cocktail Bar has become one of the more popular gay bars in Madrid. Its vibe is  'industrial chic lounge bar'.

Stylish gay bar & nightclub in the heart of Chueca village, Studio 54 recaptures the glamour of the legendary New York club with a fabulous interior, designed by famous designer Tomas Alia. It's a good place to hang out, socialise and dance to international pop music.

The name says it all: Bears Bar is a meeting place for bears, cubs, chubbies, mature men, their friends and admirers. Located in Chueca gay district, the bar also organises meetings for MAD.BEAR. 2 for 1 drinks every day until midnight.

A popular pre-clubbing bar. Inspired by the film "Casablanca", RICK'S has a Moroccan flair, with walls decorated with Humphrey Bogart's paraphernalia.

This bar has two levels, featuring diffused lighting and an overall relaxed atmosphere. They serve tropical cocktails, wine and beer along with some food and non-alcoholic beverages.

D’Mystic is a gay bar in Madrid’s Chueca neighborhood with a café-style vibe and warm service. It’s a spot for aperitifs or evening drinks with friends, known for well-made cocktails using fresh ingredients and complimentary snacks like nuts or crisps (just let staff know about allergies).

The interior is stylish, and the bartenders are friendly, some of whom can speak English.

Medaigual is a cosy gay pub in Madrid playing a wide range of music genres.  The place attracts a more mature, mixed crowd. Prices lean higher with beers at €6–€7, but the friendly service, late-night dancing, and sociable atmosphere make it a popular spot in Chueca's gay nightlife. 

Fun, colourful 1980's-styled gay bar with drag shows every night (usually starts around midnight). Helpfully, adult movies are shown on the TV screen at the rear of the bar.

Go down the stairs and you will find a second bar and quite extensive, very dark and very cruisy toilet complex!

HOT is a popular gay bar for bears, mature guys and and chubby men. Some cruising in the basement. There's no food but they sell some chips to go with their reasonably priced (and well-made) drinks. Weekends tend to be busy and you may encounter a line to get in.

GRIS is a small music bar with DJs in Chueca gay village. Music styles range from indie rock, alternative, 80s, electro and some pop. As can be expected, the interiors lean dark and old school.

Straight and hipster-friendly. Closed on Sundays and Mondays.

A fun gay bar in the Chueca district, Barbanarama attracts a fun mix of people, with reasonably priced drinks.

El 12 Club is a popular gay bar in Chueca, known for its friendly atmosphere and great live music. The bar serves cocktails and hosts weekly events with fabulous drag queens.

Prima's Bar is the place to be for those who want a lively night out in town. The bar plays great music and serves reasonably-priced cocktails and other beverages. It gets packed, especially on the weekends, so be prepared to queue.

Reina Pop is a lively gay bar in Chueca that's guaranteed to give you a great time.

The bar hosts drag performances and other live entertainment on different nights of the week, including karaoke and bingo. The drinks taste incredible and are priced reasonably. Couple these with the buzzing, friendly atmosphere and an evening at Reina Pop is sure to be fun.

The Madrid branch of the popular Barcelona gay bar, The Moon Tropical is a gay bar that makes everyone feel at home.

The bar strives to always have a fun, inclusive atmosphere. The sexy, topless bartenders serve excellent cocktails and other beverages by the bottle. They play great music, getting everyone to dance. The Moon Tropical is open every day and tends to be packed during the weekends.

Located right in front of Plaza de Chueca, this very traditional Spanish bar draws all kinds of crowds. The front area overlooking the Plaza serves tapas, and there's a separate bar in the back.

Angel Sierra gets very busy in the evening. Delicious tapas and some pretty good beer. A great place to enjoy the Chueca neighbourhood.

Small neighbourhood gay café bar in the Lavapiés quarter. El Rincón Guay serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks.

Tends to draw mixed clientele during day and gets 'gayer' in the evening. Free WiFi available.

A cosy gay bar that attracts an attitude-free, mixed crowd of gays & lesbians. Sixta gets busy on the weekends, but it's the perfect place for mingling with the locals. Located in the La Latina neighbourhood. Closed Mondays to Wednesdays.

Que Trabaje Rita is a Gay Bar/Restaurant in Madrid's city center. Surrounded by colorful plazas, scenic museums, and Madrid's iconic architecture. Que Trabaje Rita is the perfect location to sit down for food and drink. The venue itself has a great atmosphere, music, service, and a terrace. They also host occasional drag events.

Museo Chicote is a cocktail bar in the center of Madrid founded in 1931. It was the first American bar in Spain, featuring art deco architecture and interiors that still exist today. 

Because of its rich history, Museo Chicote is a favorite among Madrid's local gay scene. They serve tasty snacks like sliders, nachos, and salads, as well as desserts and a hearty brunch with your choice of cocktail. Their bar menu is also extensive, with dozens of cocktail concoctions to choose from.
